What is Play?
Most people ask me what play really is. The other day I was on the phone with a potential client who didn't understand the importance of play.
We live in a society where we work more then anything else. On the radio yesterday, the anchor said "Only 3 more days until freedom!"
Yikes.
Who has created this rule of ALL WORK AND NO PLAY?
We get lost in the grind of life, without wondering if we are enjoying it. Have we laughed at all in the past week, or are we just waiting until freedom.
Play is a perspective that life is not meant to be so hard. Play is about giving ourselves permission to be messy, erase right or wrong, good and bad and PERFECT from our dictionaries...(called the minds.)
Play is about asking "What if?...." and actually hearing the answer without judging it or labeling it.
We are not here to "get by" so we can enjoy 2 whole days of perceived freedom. WE ARE FREE, free to play and explore ...FREE to enjoy life moment to moment.
What do you think play is for you?
